Wynn Resorts was formed in 2002 and completed its initial public offering during the year.
In 2004, Wynn Resorts sold 7,500,000 shares of its common stock to Deutsche Bank Securities.
Wynn Resorts expanded its Wynn Macau resort, with construction in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China in 2005. In the same year, Wynn Las Vegas was opened.
In 2006, Wynn Resorts signed an agreement sold its subconcession right, to a Publishing and Broadcasting company in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China for $900 million. In the same year, Wynn Resorts (Macau), a subsidiary of Wynn Resorts, sold its subconcession right to an affiliate of Publishing and Broadcasting for $900 million.
Wynn Resorts expanded its operation in Macau by adding a second integrated resort hotel with amenities including food and beverage, retail, entertainment and a casino to the existing property in 2006.
In July 2007, Wynn Resorts appointed Mr. Grant R. Bowie as the President of Wynn Macau. In the same month, Wynn Resorts promoted Ms. Jennifer Dunne to the position of Vice President of Public Relations and Advertising.
Wynn Resorts appointed Mr. Ray Irani and Linda Chen as members of the company’s Board of Directors in October 2007.
Wynn Resorts opened its Wynn Macau expansion in December 2007.
In March 2008, Wynn Resorts promoted Mr. John Strzemp to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
Wynn Resorts appointed Mr. Russell Goldsmith as a member of the company’s Board of Directors in May 2008.
Wynn Resorts appointed Mr.Tim Poster and Mr.Tom Breitling as Senior Vice Presidents of Strategy and Development in July 2008.
