Air Lease Corp. ordered 51 A320 family

The order and the new company for aviation finance includes 20 Airbus A321s and 31 Airbus A320s, Airbus said on Monday at the Farnborough International Airshow in Britain . The first deliveries are planned for 2011, said Air Lease COO John Plueger .
In terms of list prices the order volume amounts to 4.43 billion USD. However, customers usually get substantial discounts on list prices .
ALC will offer their customers the new fuel-saving " Sharklet " option that is available end of 2012 for A320 aircraft, and from 2013 for A319 and A321 models. Sharklets are according to the EADS – owned large aerodynamic parts mounted on the wing tips that will improve the efficiency of the A320 family.
The company claims to ALC was the beginning of the year founded by Chairman and CEO Steven F. Udvar – Hazy . ALC will buy commercial aircraft to airlines around the world and rent. The company has added several billion dollars of capital to acquire modern aircraft and expand its portfolio of aircraft with the latest technology quickly.
