AMMAN (Dow Jones) – Hochtief subsidiary Leighton has received in Iraq the contract to build a new oil export port of 733 million USD.
The Iraqi cabinet has approved the contract to the division Leighton Ltd on Tuesday, a government spokesman said in a telephone interview with Dow Jones Newswires. The new port in the city of Basra in the south of the country will have a capacity of 1.8 million barrels per day.
