Skoda puts wage dispute with 2.7% higher wages in

PRAGUE (Dow Jones) – The Czech subsidiary Skoda, VW will pay its Workers, 2.7% higher salaries and / or unique 10,000 CZK equivalent of just under EUR 400. This agreement was the tariff dispute with the Unions stopped and prevented a possible strike, said the Skoda Auto AS on Thursday. Part of the new collective agreement is also a 50 CZK per month to a higher contribution to the pension fund.
On average, the Skoda workers earn is currently at 30,000 CZK per month. The new agreement has a term to end March 2011.
