NUREMBERG (Dow Jones) – The automotive supplier Leoni is in This year, as announced, to close two other locations. Be affected will be plants in Poland and Portugal, as Uwe Lamann, Chairman Leoni Wiring Systems division of the AG, on Wednesday at the Annual press conference in Nuremberg said.
The closures had Leoni as part of the comprehensive Restructuring plan announced in mid-December. A Company spokesman stated that provisions for Plant closures had already been formed.
This will be the sixth and seventh location, the MDAX-listed company in the wake of the economic crisis closes. 2009 are, according to Lamann four sites were closed, and in Hungary, Romania and Italy.
