HB FRANKFURT. The outgoing ThyssenKrupp’s chief financial officer Alan Hippe moves to Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche. The Journal of the trade learned from business circles. The 44-year-old will also lead the Finance Division at Roche. Erich Hunziker is currently the chief financial officer of Roche. A spokesman for the pharmaceutical company declined to comment first.
Hippe leaves the German DAX companies, in late March at his own request, such as ThyssenKrupp announced this Friday. He wanted to make a new task. His departure – which the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp still at its 21st session January has to agree – the brokers had surprised. The Thyssen-Krupp shares yielded.
Hip was in April 2009 by the automotive supplier Continental switched to the steel company to be with the prospect of Thyssen-Krupp successor CEO Ekkehard Schulz. The Board, however, had decided to Heinrich Hiesinger for an external candidate. Hippe should also have been very disappointed. Thyssen-Krupp has now confirmed the identity.
Alan Hippe was changed two years ago with great expectations from Continental to Thyssen-Krupp. He was considered a candidate to succeed chief executive Ekkehard Schulz. But supervisory board chairman Gerhard Cromme heaved with Heinrich Hiesinger an external person to the post. Hippe now attracts the consequences and replaced its board contract early 31 March on.
Following the appointment of the Siemens manager Heinrich Hiesinger the new CEO comes the departure of Hippe for insiders do not really surprising, however, is the time from the perspective of the company unhappy. For next Friday will be held the general meeting of the Industrial Group – and this is a farewell party for Ekkehard Schulz. After twelve years at the head of Thyssen-Krupp, it passes the end of the shareholder meeting as CEO of Hiesinger.
